About MBI
MBI was formed in 1995 when the founder, Evangeline Melone, visited her native land on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines, and witnessed crushing poverty—children scouring the dump for food, deplorable living conditions, and the innocent succumbing to trafficking and exploitation. It broke her heart, and she was called to take action. It began by feeding a handful of children in her mother’s living room. Today, MBI has brought food, education and hope to hundreds of children. BUT—the need is still GREAT. If your heart breaks for these children, join us in giving them a chance at life—a life with promise.
